Jetstar operate domestically across New Zealand, and until recently included flights to regional centres. However those services have been discontinued as of December 2019.
Jetstar are easily recognisable for their bright orange star logo, and attendants wear orange jackets as part of their uniforms.

Popping up once or twice throughout the year, return fare prices are halved with with awesome sale. Destinations on sale can vary, though it often includes domestic, as well as Australia, Bali and Thailand. There is also a specific 'Japan - Return for Free' sale, covering flights to Tokyo and Osaka (via Cairns or the Gold Coast).

Jetstar operate as a low-cost carrier, so all of their starter fares only include carry-on baggage up to 7kg (across two pieces), and no meals or entertainment.
Baggage can be added on individually, or passengers can choose a 'bundle' when booking, which adds baggage, meals and other extras.
Baggage costs and bundles vary depending on destination, however the maximum checked luggage passengers can take is 30kg. Extra cabin baggage can also be added on to a total of 14kg for some routes.
Meals and drinks, as well as entertainment, can be pre-booked, or paid for on the flight. Entertainment may be accessed via ipads handed out by staff, or through the in-seat screens depending on aircraft and route.
Jetstar offer three options for check in: online, via the app or at the airport check-in counter. The app also allows mobile boarding passes to be presented for domestic NZ and AUS flights.
Online check in is not available for flights to the United States, if you have an infant or if you need special assistance.
Jetstar don't run their own Frequent Flyer program, however you are still able to earn points through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, or the Emirates Skywards program.
