Singapore Airlines began in 1947 as Malayan Airways Limited (MAL), and has grown to become one of the most well-known airlines today. Known for their strong focus on service and quality aircraft and facilities, Singapore Airlines have been ranked as the world's best airline by Skytrax four times, and have won many other awards over the years including, most recently, 'Asia’s Leading Airline 2019' at the World Travel Awards, and 'Best Airline in the World' at TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice 2019 Awards.
They currently fly, with their subsidiary airlines SilkAir and Scoot, to over 130 destinations across the world from their primary hub in Singapore, including all Australian and New Zealand capital cities. Their fleet numbers 137 aircraft, including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787.
Singapore Airlines fly from Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington to over 130 destinations (along with their subsidiaries SilkAir and Scoot), including the USA, Europe, South Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. All flights will transit via Singapores Changi Airport, which is the airlines hub airport.
Unlike their low-cost carrier Scoot, Singapore Airlines don't offer regular weekly or monthly sales. However they do have specific sales throughout the year, such as Earlybird sales, Black Friday (after Thanksgiving), Boxing Day (December 26th) and others.
They may also feature destination-specific sales, such as the United States, New Zealand or Europe. The best way to find out about these is to sign up to their email list, or keep an eye on our page!
Singapore Airlines currently offer five classes for flying, including suites, first class, business class, premium economy and economy. All international flights, regardless of class, offer checked baggage, entertainment and meals.
If your flight is partially run by Scoot, check your baggage inclusions for all flight sectors.
